45FT refers to the container platform
The documented 45FT expandable container has an interior 10.4 m long and 10.3 m wide after deployment, approximately 107 m². A wheeled chassis in a transport photograph does not make it the semi-trailer product. The chassis can serve as a transport tool.
53FT is not the internal length
The 53FT semi-trailer has 15 m of usable internal length. At 12 m expanded width, the area is 180 m²; at 10 m width, it is 150 m². The separate 15.7 m external-length version has 13.5 m internal length. Always ask for the selected configuration's drawing.
Closed width changes the layout
A closed width of approximately 2.55 m generally corresponds to a 10 m expanded width, while a referenced 2.85 m closed configuration expands to 12 m. Choosing a narrower width does not alone establish complete road compliance. Dimensions, route and destination requirements must be reviewed together.
Choose the market and layout together
MBFD does not offer its semi-trailer product for Europe or Canada. Container options should be discussed for those destinations. For other markets, choose between platforms using the intended layout, moving frequency and transport plan. Do not apply the 45FT specifications to 20FT or 40FT products.
